Quiet times

Things have been a little quiet around here at the Electric Guitars and Racing Cars and my blooggging brain has slowed a little, it must be the winter chill we are going through here in Melbourne. So what have we missed..?
Australia's Mark Webber cleaned up at Monoco with a straight win from pole. Pretty easy really. Marcos Ambrose also won himself a pole position at Michigan last week but faded over the 200 laps to finish in ninth. Still, for 120 grand it's all in a days work. It makes you wonder why some of our V8 Supercar peddlers haven't taken the jump to the roundy roundy's.
Not exactly a racing car driver (but probably will be soon) 26yo Casey Stoner announced his retirement earlier this month.
Also not a racing car driver (but probably is at heart) Eric Clapton picked up his custom Ferrari SP12 EC. I understand it was built in homage to one of Eric's favourite sporty cars, the 1970s Ferrari 512BB, which he unfortunately crashed. Slow handedness I suspect.
It took some arm bending to get it in Candy Apple Red.
