F1 sprint racing? Yes? No?

Love the facial hair Danno.
Danny boy finally gets to taste the Moet in Spain with a stupendous third place finish. Luckily he had the crayons out and replaced the numbers on his car earlier in the week. The unfortunately, and there is always one, Dan finished a whole 74 seconds in arrears of race winner 44HAM which makes the RB's well over a second a lap slower than the Silver Arrows. In fact 1.12 secs to be a little more precise. That is a cab ride and this is only the gap between first and third. So what's the answer?
3x20 lap sprints? Strip the cars of aero? Replace the 'power units' with good old fashioned engines? Throw away the car to pits or pits to car Wi-Fi? Give the drivers a gear leaver and a button-less steering wheel? Put in place a maximum budget and a sponsorship cap? What all this says to me is that F1 is completely out of control. Big numbers and being fined $37,000 for not displaying them is and absolute joke. No wonder Bernie gave it the flick, although he was the guy who suggested fake rain showers, mmm? The new American owners better get their stuff together quick smart or the share holders will be doing their dough.
I have been a fan of racing anything motorised on wheels forever and must admit to speedway being my fav. In particular sprintcars for their sheer grunt and close racing and to be able to make for a great night of entertainment at family friendly prices. F1 unfortunately has become the least entertaining where it should be the pinnacle of motorsport. Since V8 Supercars having already dropped 'V8' from their title in anticipation for the 6's and turbo's it doesn't matter what they do with the class now, it's completely off the rails. These guys couldn't run a billy cart race, unfair penalties, allowing stupid driving, little TV coverage and for FTA viewers with only a hours highlight package the racing is impossible to follow. I realise it's a new world but isn't it obvious why there is little interest in motorsport other than amongst the competitors and teams and most of them are struggling. I can go iRacing online with Dale Jr or the Giz at the click of a mouse, why do I bother putting up with Skaife and Cromley and their cliché's for an hour or to hear all about the new updates the Red Bull's are expecting for Monaco in anticipation of making Formula 1 great again. Let's sling some mud.
