Supercars not as super as thought.

Ooops! Distracted by the grid girl.
Unfortunately I never had my offer accepted to buy in to the Virgin Australia Supercar Championship. The big pocket buyers who included Sports Entertainment Limited and TEG, owners of Ticketek couldn't come up with the dosh.
Actually I was having second thoughts myself, especially when I read this headline.. Supercars Plotting Virtual Racing Competition. Geeez, these guys are just so out of touch. With all the major racing sims makers having had V8's and tracks like Bathurst for years now, Supercars have finally stumbled on the idea to 'do something' and perhaps run some kind of racing completion for gamers. Even when Supercars were still V8 Supercars they had an official sim racing competition going on. Short memories. They are looking for a tie in with Simona de Silvestro and her sponsor Harvey Normal. Gamers will blow her off their screens. Would you like a washing machine with that? Well at least they're making next years GP support races count for championship points so it would seem Warburton and his buddies can do something right when the pressure is on.
