Fingerboards of the future. |
This means items, any items using rosewood in their construction, are no long permitted to 'cross borders' or more precisely, be exported. Starting with most of the Mexi made guitars and the American Elite Series instruments currently with rosey fingerboards Fender will switch to Pau Ferro FB's. This has all come about because the Chinese went a bit over-board in their extravagant use of rosewood in their furniture manufacturing. The Greenies decided the rosewood tree (?) was an endangered species and hoisted the flag. Although a little political for EG&RC I'm wondering what else we will see in the future that fall under this no-crossing-boarders policy. It will be a sad day when we can no longer buy a rosewood finger board Strat. Don't believe me.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosewood
