Glen Campbell 1936-2017

Glen, doing what he loved.
Like a rind stone cowboy was how most of us knew Glen Campbell but Glen was way more than a singing guitar strummer.
Glens first foray into guitar playing was at age four and by the time he was six he was performing on local radio stations around Pike County, Arkansas. Like most of us guitar players there is someone that pops into our psyche to inspire us, in Glen's case it was Django Reinhardt. With no formal training it was strictly play-by-ear plus a ton of talent that Glen created his style. Take a listen to this Bob Dylan track Glen recorded back in his session musician days and you will hear the Django influence.. Blowin' In The Wind
Would you have picked no pun intended the solo was played by one Glen Campbell. RIP Glen and I do love that beautiful Lake Placid Blue G&L Comanche.
