How long before tecnology eats itself?

You wind, I'll punch in the numbers.
You have to love this. Forgive me but I'm from the old school. In fact I'm the only guy I know that's smarter than their phone. Yep, I have a wind up one.

Seriously (as they say), I can't believe how companies this day and age can release software onto the public that is unfinished. What's more, how do the public accept this and continually buy this crap and let these ginormous companies get away with it.
I thought the new fangled Fender Mustang GT series amps, no not the car, sounded like they had hit the mark. Well the concept is going to the extreme of one's needs with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi firmware updates, store a gazillion presets, download a gazillion more, these things would seem to have no limit.
Of course I forgot there was software behind all the magic, not to mention data collection. I may be the only person in the world that doesn't have a smart phone (lucky me) but I do have an Android tablet and wondered if I was to get the Fender Tone App I could at least have a look at it's functions. I had a quick Google but didn't find anyone that could tell me if this was at all possible. I gave up searching after twenty seconds (as you do) and decided to check it out on Google Apps. It told me it required the actual Mustang GT amp so that was as far as I got.
Clicky for biggy.
However I was amused to read a few of the comments on the Fender Tone app at the Goole Apps Store. Check out the above image. Remember if you click the image (any images) you will get a big version. It would seem by these couple of comments that Fender are still in the buggy stage and like most techy reliant things, it doesn't work properly.

Now where's my wind up phone so I can tell my old school mates about it and share a laugh.
