Notice the similarities?

I cast my eyes over this magnificent beast last week and my first thought was.. three pickup Les Paul Custom with trem in foggy white. The closest picture I could find was this 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Reissue w/ Maestro Vibrola in- Classic White.
The SG is ONLY $6699 US. I don’t think Angus could afford one of these SG’s. The Mexi made Fender is probably only a sixth of that.

As it turns out this odd-ball Fender FSR has a mahogany body just like the Les Paul and with its three hummers, ivory paint with black head stock, black plastic bits and much gold bling it would be a great alternative, at least for a similar visual effect. I think although the Strat wiring would be quite different to that in the Les Paul with the heavy mahogany body and hummer pickups it should perform just as good... particularly if you’re a Fender fan.

If three puppies is a bit much to handle then the FSR is available in piano black with a black pickguard and just two pickeruppers with all the gold bling. And if you’re not into bling (like Lewis Hamilton) then a two pickup one is available in conservative see through wine with chrome bits.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to give either of the three FSR's a test run last week but hopefully my local Fender dealer still has them when I call in this week.
