Locals dominate in Adelaide

S81 - Luke Dillon
Joining the nine WSS contracted drivers were twenty four of the best sprintcar pilots made up of mainly Croweaters (South Australians). Local peddler Trevor Green took away the heavy qualifying points with a 13.12 around the Adelaide quarter miler. After two rounds of heats, the bronze, silver and gold shootouts and the B main this was how they lined up for the A. S81 driver Luke Dillon led the field away from Robbie Farr and last years series winner James McFadden. Locals Brad Keller and Trev Green made up the top five and this was how they ran for the first 15 laps. Hot series favourite Steve Lines driving the W3 car was on the move and by lap 19 had moved through the bunch to fourth place. USA drivers Kyle Hurst had disappeared off the radar after lap 16 while fellow countryman Tim Keading had a good run going until he also disappeared on lap 28. It was contracted driver Luke Dillon that was to draw first blood with a go to wo run at round one of the World Series Sprintcars for 2012/2013.

Luca di Montezemolo, unhappy chappy

Otterremo questo risolto in un modo o in un altro
Big chief at Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo believes the days of the one-man show with Bernie at the helm are past its use-by date. While Di Montezemolo was perfectly happy with this years (2012) championship outcome and the better team won on the day he is obviously very concerned with the bigger picture, the wasted money, the supported teams that may as well be in F2 and the fact that Bernie is setting up tracks in deserted rubbish dumps that draw only the dedicated F1 followers. There are few events as such. Cost cutting measures have worked in some areas and exploded in others such as aero with teams employing up to 100 aerodynamicists alone. It's the Christmas round up.

One potato two potato three potato four..
Had a bit of a play on these few the other day while escaping the heat at Sky Music, Melbourne's most recent Fender dealer. They do have a massive (overwhelming) number of guitars. If you were a serious buyer and not just a tyre-kicker like myself you would probably need to go in everyday for a week to make a choice. I spent an hour in there and of the many I tried that I liked the look of here is just a sample of my instant thoughts on these instruments unplugged.Plugged in would take another week. Read all about these gorgeous looking spuds.
