The Indy 447.5

Doin' the Honda Stomp.
After a magnificent effort from Fernando and the Andretti team his Honda woes finally catch up with him at the 101st running of the Indy 500.
Fernando held the lead for 27 laps midway and things were looking good until the Honda gremlins took a hold and the Honda donk expired with just 52 miles left to run of the 500. The Spaniard was given a standing ovation from the 300,000 strong crowd, a few more than the Beatles ever got.“It was a great experience, the last two weeks,” Alonso told reporters after the race. “I came here basically to prove myself, to challenge myself. I know that I can be as quick as anyone in an F1 car but I didn’t know if I can be as quick as anyone in an IndyCar. (well, of course you did Fernando) It was nice to have this competitive feeling, even leading the Indy 500, you know."
Will he be back next year? Maybe he'll be back for the whole season to show them how it's done.
