Gibson, the other guitars, are moments from doom with a 500 million dollar debt, closure of factories and no-shows at trade expo's around the world yet they keep coming up with the wackiest things including these Custom 'Boogie Van' Les Paul's.
Yep, these are Les Paul Custom's with the Les Paul Custom price tag, a whopping 5g's USD. The Gibson marketers are promoting these things as Gibson's nod to the "shaggin' wagon", Yeah right. Les would be rolling over right now.

So do I see a potential buyer for this cool looker? I'm lookin' lookin' and don't see one. Maybe Gibson have only done a limited run, one for Richard Gere and a couple for his mates. At just over 8g's USD I don't think they will be making much of a dent in their debt somehow.

Some forward thinking here from the marketers to release a limited edition Year Of The Dog in celebration of the 2018 Chinese new year. Quite beautiful but at six and a half grand it may not be a company saver. Perhaps they could have done a run under their Epiphone brand for the Asian market?
