Why Disilusioned Land?

A little damp.. yes?
So why Disillusioned Land? Basically motor sport, well particularly F1 and the Supercars have turned to absolute c%^p. We have a driver/team loosing a major event because of a drivers fitness. We have the chaos that went with it, the spinning wheel saga which received a drive through penalty for a dazed and confused driver that shouldn't of even been on the track and should have been called in laps prior.

That was Bathurst, then there was 'The Vodafone Gold Coast 600'. It makes me want to change phone provider to Boost Mobile?? Saturday's race must have been pretty ordinary as I can't even think who won. The only thing I do remember was that Foreigner was the after show entertainment, really? Feels Like The First Time and Cold As Ice. Yep, 1977 and yep, that's forty one years ago. Bring back Meatloaf I say. And for those that caught The Boys Light Up by the old boy himself James Reyne, wouldn't have missed James's rendition of the national anthem, good one James.
So then it was Sunday, the big day. Well after we sat through the Tonka trucks, the whole half a dozen of them and the Porsche butchers picnic Queensland did what it does best.. rained or should I say bucketed down killing what we did have of the Supercar main event. There were plenty of disgruntled, you could say disillusioned internet commenters that asked the question.. if the powers that be knew of the oncoming rain then why didn't they bring the Supercar race forward? Sounded like a plan to me but hang on, there is a TV schedule to consider. So we had some racing, some spills in the damp, several yellows and a couple of hours of cancelled race coverage. Good one Supercars.
So where are we now with just one event remaining (two races) to decide the championship. Scott McLaughlin has a handful of points advantage over Red Bull pedaler The Giz. Well after yet another fiasco last week at Pukehohe, more controversial wheel spinning from Shane Van Giz, just what can we expect at Newcastle? More up the bum tactics from Shane, the most hated driver in the series or Scotty calmly race on and take his first championship? Cant wait. Let's hope there is no race destroying Race Control decisions and the championship is decided 'on the track'.
Do I need to talk about the disillusionment of what meant to be Formula One? Congrats to team Mercedes and their highly paid driver Blingy Hamilton on both the team and drivers championship with a couple of races in hand. Sold. The biggest disillusion for me this F1 season has been Hairy Dan's sacking or perhaps it was just bad luck. Wrong place, wrong time. From Renault power unit to Renault power unit. You're a wonderful ambassador for the sport and for Australia so best of luck in your new testing role at Renault, just kidding Dan. If the car works you will be in the hunt I'm sure.
