Local boy takes the bacon.

A worthy winner.
Andrew Scheuerle wins an exciting Australian Sprintcar Title for 2018/2019 where Andy will get to wear the number one on his tail tank. Fifty six cars rolled into Brisbane's Archerfield Raceway with the usual heavy hitters mixing it with the local Queensland drivers.

Robbie Far, who had won the preliminary night, was to be a hot favourite after amassing a bundle of qualifying points was to, well did, start on the pole for the Championship A-Main. Unfortunately Robbie's race came to a screeching halt on the first lap in what appeared to be a coming together with an impatient J-Mac ending his run (well, at least that's how I saw it). Robbie limped around a couple more laps after clobbering a tractor tyre but the show for him was over. Not the result fans of Sports-Bet probably had in mind.

McFadden slid his was to the front for the first twenty laps but a hard charging Scheuerle was to take and hold the lead position for the remaining twenty laps.

There was a good showing from the Dumesny clan in old dad Max, Matt and young Marcus, the three M's, with only Matt making the A-Main starting mid-field starting tenth and finishing in tenth.

Past champion Brooke Tatnell who started on the outside of the second row also in the first lap fracas was to eventually drop back to finish in ninth. Of the other champions W2 Kerry Madsen (A1) only managed a seventh row start but he did manage to move forward to finish in eighth. David Murcott started out of eleventh to finish fourth enjoying a good run.

But at the end of the day it was Andrew Scheuerle, "don't call me Shirley", that was to take home the hardware and get his paints out.
